the service for line is getting worse and worse. Far more glitches and constant issues. right now the two big ones are either somebody calls and I don't answer it and it shows that they're calling forever "incoming line call" won't go away. and I can't swipe away the notification. or when they do call Line opens then closes and doesn't answer the call.
I enjoyed using the app, but the non-existence of customer service means I may never recover my account. My old phone was damaged and the data is gone. I got a new phone and reinstalled the app. Unfortunately, I forgot the password, but for some reason, LINE does not make it easy to recover any password. The links appear broken. So despite my best efforts, my account is in limbo. Japan produces many great products. However, their chat service lags far behind that of many other countries.
had line app for almost 10 years and they suspend my account. I lost everything. took a trip to Taiwan and added some relatives and exchanged some photos. now I'm back in the States and the app stopped working. can't message, can't call, can't do anything. it keeps saying to check connection but it seems like they suspended my account. let this be a warning to anyone that uses this app that you can lose all your chat history and photos and videos on the app at anytime and it's gone forever.
Bug: Notification appears on device but no messages show in the app. It was my preferred choice for messaging, but I'm getting closer and closer to uninstalling it every day and moving to something else. I use this app daily, and multiple times a day my friends and I have to either force close it or restart our phones to get messages to appear in the app. For an app whose primary function is messaging, I don't understand how this bug has been allowed to exist for so long. It's unacceptable.
Cannot add anyone. Each time I try to enter a user's URL in app it says the user does not exist; when I try in browser, it just takes me to the Line homepage. I also cannot create my own ID for others to search, as it keeps saying there is a network error, even when I have full bars for both mobile data and internet. Edit: after experiencing multiple issues of my own and reading through other current reviews, I will be deleting this app and not using it again in the future.
