Security & Privacy Review
Polaris Office is not an Application I can recomend to anyone. There are better Office Application on Play Store than this. Tons of Ads to go through to even get started to editing. Then it is only terrible for the phone screen navigation, and even worse if you can have an Android desktop on and external monitor. On the external monitor the word on the button are no longer readable. Collabora Office, MobiOffice and more can adjust from phone screen to Android Desktop mode and look good too.
I keep seeing replies to reviews complaining about the ads saying that there is a single payment option to get rid of ads. That is a lie. Only a subscription is offered. No thanks. Their cheapest subscription still has features I could care less about. I don't want AI. I don't want to use it on multiple devices. And I don't want access to a cloud. I. Just. Want. To. Get. Rid. Of. Ads. That's it. Just give me a basic Word processor and I'll gladly pay a one time fee of $10 or something.
I've used this app for a while and found it handy. I know free apps use ads to pay for themselves, but now it's an ad between EVERY transition between documents, and that runs up my limited data bandwidth. The ad box pops up saying Watch an ad and not see ads for the rest of the day. No video ad loads, another ad box later. Otherwise, pay $4.00/ day to keep from seeing ads for that day. I'm trying to find a straight up "buy" option, but don't see one. Way to grift. Way to grift your users!👎
I only use the Document and Spreadsheet features. The spreadsheet seems pretty good. For a very long time now, it has been nearly impossible to edit anything on a document for the same reason that I see other people are having. The cursor goes back to places I don't want it to go and, it constantly replaces words that I'm trying to type with other words (or even segments of words) that I have used occasionally in document. It's like autocorrect on drugs.
Been using polaris in mobile phone for a long time and had no issues. But since the latest update, been having issues on the worksheets - cell color and borders disappeared, number format became general, etc. Tried fixing the file yesterday and saved it. Now the worksheets are more chaotic. The borders and highlighted cells are all over the place. numbers became general characters again. Also, ads are at all time high. Pls fix or revert to old version.
