The only real problem I have with this app is when I attend a Saturday evening Mass (Vigil), it only shows the readings for Saturday DAY Mass. If this can't be programmed so it's automatic, based on time, it would be awesome to give the user a choice between the two. Secondly, when creating an account, to enter your birthday you can only scroll month by month. The secret, I finally found, was to tap on the year. That is not very obvious. All in all, thank you for a great app.
Just downloaded the app after seeing the icon on my online PDF bulletin. It looks to be full of helpful content, and I like the way you can scroll through all upcoming events. However, the situation is just what I feared—the events shown in the app don't match the published bulletin. Next week there's a holy day of obligation, and my parish seems to have cancelled its weekly confession times and other events because of it—changes that aren't reflected in the app. Epic parish fail, twice over. =(
Worthless app. Another great app they screwed up with the last update. The readings were easy to find and had a transparent picture in the background that reduced the blue light glare. Now, all they do is take you to Catholic Bishops for the readings which is a bright white background. It is fewer steps just to go directly to Catholic Bishops for the readings where you can rotate the page for better viewing. This app is useless.
About a week ago, when I discovered that when I open up the app, I stopped seeing any options (e.g. Giving) on the screen. It is blank. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. When I search for my parish, it is not in the list. I called my parish and they said they are still using the MyParish service. I am on a Samsung Galaxy S10 running Android 12. I can provide a acreenshot if that helps.
I only downloaded the app because it is how my new parish has chosen to receive electronic donations. It's difficult enough setting up an account to use the app itself, but then you have to set up another one to use the donation function. You get a message that "that email already exists." I'm hitting send on this review and uninstalling the app.
