Trying to get on the app to unpause my laptop but its says to restart with my cell data but that don't work. Then it says to to try with wifi turned on. wth...Cox needs to get their stuff together and come down on the wifi price with all the complications that come with them. It's no wonder why so many people are switching to AT&T and Verizon.

It doesn't work, at least for me, after you upgrade to a new router. The router and home network are fine. I can see the network through the COX general app and on the COX website. But, the COX panoramic wifi app just gives an error message that the "gateway needs to be reactivated." I've restarted everything, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, worked with tech support - nothing. It's been over a week, so it's not a timing issue for the network to catch up. Bottom line - app is unusable.

Cox REQUIRES this app if you want to change the name or password of the WiFi router they supply. It claims to identify all connected devices, but that "feature" needs work. "Generic IoT device" is not very informative. It does alert you when a new device connects, but doesn't (can't?) tell you much about it. It needs a switch to PREVENT (or allow) new devices to connect. My recent list of connected devices included six cell phones that were not mine. I wouldn't use it at all if I didn't have to.

Very limited in what you can control. There after many things you can't control through the app. I guess that's ok for some. But what if i want to use quad9 for malware blocking, or any other dns service? Too bad! Setting a printer with a dhcp reservation? I was just told that's a business class feature. (But that used to be available for residential customers) The built in speed test doesn't work. I wouldn't use this app if i didn't have to. If there were alternative ISPs I'd try them too

This app is awful. We have been with cox for three years. The application loading correctly is a hit or miss. The internet is awful as well. We went from paying 70 a month for charter (which allowed us to have our own router and had consistent speeds) to paying 150+ for internet that constantly drops, you have to use their modem/router combo and you have to pay extra for these stupid pods to extend the wifi. The pods also crash all the time and customer service says "we don't see any issues".
