We should be able to adjust our aid ourselves while the aid continues making other adjustments to protect our hearing. It is bad enough having to go to work on a machine and the sound lowers and thinking that your battery is dead and not having control adjusting the sound. Every day, not knowing that you are raising your voice trying to hear your voice and after leaving work you hit your head saying, "I've done it again!". May as well not wear the aid and miss the sound you heard before.
When this app works, it's great. The WHEN is the problem. It takes forever for the Bluetooth to pair up and then usually only one pairs. I did send a message to the app help addy but received no response. My last pair of hearing aids ( Seimans) worked flawlessly and cost much less. I had high hopes going in based on others' experience but I am very unhappy.
App would not stay connected. I re-paired the aids and rebooted the phone. That did not help. Went to the support site and read that I should turn Bluetooth off then back on to clear it. That seems to have worked. So far the aids stayed connected when changing programs. ....later edit. If you connect any other Bluetooth device, you must cycle Bluetooth off and on and reboot the app to keep connection. Edit one month later....very disappointed in this app. It just will not stay connected.
This app never works right. If it doesn't pick up hearing aides & you go to "pair new aides" it says it has found your aides and proceeds to connect them... except it never connects. You can't shut it down. It goes on for hours draining the battery. It automatically goes into "demo" mode & you cannot get it out. Sometimes you can get it working if you uninstall it but you have to do it numerous times & sometimes it doesn't work. Please fix it because many people depend on it. .
After months of excellent performance, the app is unreliable. Getting the app to connect to the hearing aid is random. With Bluetooth on, nothing. Reboot phone, nothing. Reboot hearing aid, nothing. Then after a few days, it magically works ... for an hour or two, then nothing. The result is that everyone appears to be speaking softly and mumbling because I have no control over volume. My husband has the same issue with his. We both use Android phones (Moto Z3 Play).
