It is a fun app but irritating! You have to earn items with ads for your pet. That or it's basically trying to convince you into pro! While it is a nice concept, I wish it didn't block the free parts with ads so much. Like I get it, getting more food and supplies makes sense to an extent but give us enough to not HAVE TO. sleep or walking the pet is also with ads when needed? It's frustrating... This is getting very frustrating! I don't even wanna take care of the pet anymore at this rate!
It's definitely a nice way to have fun with far away friends. I like the co-parenting feature, and the widgets that let you see what each other is up to. The status one in particular is quite fun. However, the free to play experience is a little rough. You can't earn any coins without playing sponsored games (which I don't want to download and Ublock blocks the page), and so it leaves the only way to get items for your pet and plants through watching endless ads. It's becoming a bit frustrating.
It's ok at first, but gets severely annoying at times because if an ad comes up for something you already have on your phone, it will automatically open it without any prompting. Fix this, and I'll up my review. It's very ridiculous and bothersome. Edit to add- It has gone from annoying sometimes to annoying constantly. Now it also opens the apps you don't have. It takes you to the play store automatically without any interaction.
I downloaded this for the pet feature which seems to be the main part of the app, and it's garbage. I purchased the premium and ad removal, and I still have ads. Even with the sub, you can only earn coins (which are needed to care for your pet) through ads, tapjoy, or additional $$$. Some care items are locked behind diamonds which can only be bought as well. Also, I was gifted a pink egg. The game did not notify til after it hatched that my friend can't care for it unless she buys premium too.
No, no, and NO!!! The ads are outrageous, and if you run out of resources to care for you pet you either have to watch ads, buy diamonds/premium, or complete quizzes, play games, complete surveys, etc. to earn coins. Coins should be easily obtainable by like sending out your pet on adventures at the cost of energy to obtain coins. Overall it's not fun,,,,
