Security & Privacy Review
This application is very useful for learning languages and practicing them because you can meet people who speak the language that you speak while they're learning your language at the same time. It has a very handy correction tab that you can use to correct your partner in regards to the written communication and they can see it, too. However, I only gave it 4 stars because the application sends you too many notifications and reminders to use it (daily), and it can be a little irritating.
I bought a lifetime membership last year, but this year my account suddenly disappeared. I had not posted or spoken in the app for several months before it was deleted, yet support only said it was due to a "violation." They did not clearly explain the rule, evidence, or review process. A paid lifetime account should not be removed without transparency. if you insist on using this app, do NOT pay any money on it.
I will say overall the app is okay, it's fun..but there are a lot of scammers and catfishers on here. So be careful who you talk to and trust in this app. I use this strictly to better my korean and Italian, but it is tiring having people who aren't being upfront always trying to form friendships that in the end feel fake. A simple reverse Google search of a profile picture will tell you if they're real or simply using someone else's face. Stay safe and aware out there fellow language learners.
I rarely review but this is ridiculous. I paid, for what I thought was the full benefit of the app, to only get a piece of it. You want to get AI conversation? That's a cost. You want to speak with others in other countries? That's a seperate cost. You want to learn new words? Yep, another separate cost. Good app but useless unless you pay for premium membership and that will run hundreds just for a year if you want all of their services.
it's a great place to meet people, but you're going to have to meet a lot of people to find one good one. this could go up to 1,000 for some languages. I'm leaving a review because they keep trying to shove AI into more and more unnecessary parts of the app. now there's a paid button in the middle of the chat for generating "ai chat suggestions" if I wanted to talk to an AI i wouldn't be using an app to meet real human people
