why oh why when I search for cars local to me within a 50 mile radius does this useless app keep filling my search with adverts for cars that are 200 plus miles away and £1000 over my budget? If I'd wanted to look at those cars, I would have set that in the search engine. Other than that, not too bad as a buyer, but as a private seller, expensive. very expensive.
What have you done to this app!!? Every time you load the app it toys to "sync"? With what? What are you syncing? Then it won't let you reset your search, it just leaves the search button greyed out... the app is now totally useless *Edit: After uninstalling the app and reinstalling to see if it will fix the "sync" issue... it now won't even sign me in... great stuff.
Absolute pain. Why will it only save some cars and not others? What's the point in having a save option if you can't save them. Cars are advertised as being a certain age like 2021, but are quite clearly 1990s, and autotrader don't do anything about the false advertising. With vans, you want 5+ seats and it shows you 2 and 3 seaters. And the best bit you put down max price £8000 and it says you might like this car for £45,000, we'll yes I would if I had the money but I clearly don't
I downloaded the app in the hope that it might be better for searching by locality than the website. If I say I want to look within 20 miles I want to look within 20 miles, and not get shown cars 150 miles away. I don't want a car to be delivered, I want to see it in person. The other search functionality is great, but this constant showing me cars several counties over is very irritating.
I've been using AT for as long as I can remember (magazine for years, apps and website since they started). It was the go to marketplace. But the app is now getting so poor and is far from being a one stop shop now (a lot of vehicles not on there). Model filters are messed up. Final straw? They no longer support my slightly older phone The website also doesn't show the same vehicles in a search. They seem clueless now about building reliable tech and the data it relies on.
