Pretty useful. Better than the website, which is prone to getting stuck with a spinning circle when I'm trying to book a stay. The app did mess up on charging, refusing to let me enter a CC number. I had to back almost all the way out of the app and try again before it suddenly remembered the card that I always use for this. Lately, the app sort order switched from highest-rated to closest, a more useful metric.
Some Wyndham properties even charge around $5 per bag for luggage storage, which is unusual compared to other hotels. The biggest issue was with a promotional booking. Wyndham stated I could cancel within 7 days, and I submitted my cancellation request within that period. They later refused a refund, claiming cancellations must be made by phone and that email requests are not accepted. Very disappointing experience. I would be cautious before purchasing any Wyndham promotional offers.
I enjoy the app, but I think it could use some better transition when going into buying points site or any other rewards that a customer may want to look at. They have to log back into the app just to buy points or other things related to upgrades. It needs to be more seamless. Overall it is good and you can find what you need. You don't have to search for days trying to find things.
The app is in and out sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. PLEASE BEWARE!!! Never call their customer service line. You will receive little to no help what so ever. When an agent gets confused or frustrated they will pretend to drop the call and forward you to the next agent. If you call to make a reservation it will not match the price on the websites and 9xs out of 10 be more for no unexplainable reason what so ever. The customer service is absolutely terrible.
Just don't. I have been booking through this app for 9 years. I started the account because I traveled for work. It's always a headache talking to customer service. They are often rude and not helpful. I was told to be quiet on my last booking. When the person refused to just make a note on the call that we talked. The only time I didn't have a problem was when my call was being answered in the US. It's always some loopholes or problems with the points. That you miss when you're using the app.
