You really have to learn the program before using it for real. there is a lot of going back and forth via the Edit buttons to plan your trip. I thought it would be more user-friendly than it is. Also, trip planning cannot be started OR edited using your mobile devices. However, it is still better than using Maps or Waze, as it takes the rig into consideration.
Frustrating Mobile App - Only works if you plan EVERY SINGLE STOP on the computer before the trip. Otherwise it can be infuriating. Fuel app shows a lower price at another station? - exit navigation - enter the new fuel stop - go there - exit navigation - re-enter original navigation Realize you need to stop at a Walmart? - exit navigation... Every single additional stop. Without 'add a stop' functionally, the mobile app can only serve as a secondary GPS, not the primary.
I have been using / paying for the app for 3 years now. overall I love the planning. although the new view is challenging and does not allow for some of the granularity that the old view did. The GPS can be very difficult to navigate and impossible to do ao when driving. if you manually skip a step it will re-route you until you either go back to what you skipped or edit the trip. should be able to just drive past something. especially a way point. I would love to talk more
Cannot get it to display route on Android Auto. As is common, operator error. Hadn't selected the app on the trick screen. Only the last 4 apps show up, so this wasn't one of them. Really like the app and website. Like to see a way to lock your trip plans in so the app doesn't change them. Spent a lot of time locating gas stations and dragging routes to match the RV Park's specific directions to avoid GPS route, only to have the app change them.
Charged my credit card immediately when they said it was a trial. Additionally the map was glitchy with Android Auto, with no traffic data, and the routes were identical to Google Maps. We never got any fuel reminders which I had set. What would be really helpful is an option to see nearby dumping stations which doesn't seem to exist in the app. Basically I got charged twenty bucks for an app that didn't even really provide any extra value.
