This app helps me in so many ways! Recipes, healthy choices and options. Even gives you every available choice eligible and shows a picture so it's easier to understand and fine each available item! Better yet you can also just scan the barcode and it will come up green if it's an eligible item or red if it's not. How much simpler could it be. !! Also, it notifies you on when your next upcoming appointment is approaching so you can stay organized and ahead!! i recommend this app to EVERYONE!!
App is great, pretty easy to use. Barcode scanning option is GREAT!, but some things not fully up to date yet, but, neither are they in the stores. However, things just did change/update in April of this year so that is to be expected for a time until all things catch up.
WIC services have improved greatly, no complaints lol. most apps can benefit from some kind of improvement, this one I wish had better search options when trying to find WIC eligible items. the item descriptions are generic when looking them up by brand or flavor. a lot of listings are just "NONFAT YOGURT" and the search only brings up the app description and barcode upc SKU number. I usually stand in the grocery store scanning items and spend a lot more time shopping than is practical
Pretty straight forward to use. Has a lot of options to help you choose what location to go to, as well as what that store carries that is covered under your specified benefits. Even let's you use a barcode scanner on your phone to double-check and verify if you qualify for items. It also gives you a decent sized list of many different types of recipes to use regarding the items you're able to get.
I can scan to verify if WIC approved but I can also see that on most shelf labels. So, that could be handy but not really needed. It shows a list of acceptable items but I have that info already. It's not letting me register my card. I cannot track my benefit balance which was the reason for installing. It's not the end of the world. I'll keep track on paper or my phone but I really wanted to do this with the app. I called my local office and apparently, the PA WIC app has not been working.
