I've used this app for years and use it for much more than just grocery lists. My wife and I create all sorts of lists, like packing for trips, shopping, and wish lists for Christmas, etc. It syncs instantly between multiple devices, I can add new items to the database when a barcode is unrecognized, it learns the items that I often put on my list.

Was great, now getting sneaky with ads. Sometimes it will now say, "someone in your household added this to the list!" and it's an ad for a product nobody added (and it even shows up on the shopping list). I don't have a problem with ads in general (you gotta pay the bills), but I do have a problem with ads presented that way.

(Edit:2014-2026 Still wonderful! One time cost more than a decade ago for paid edition. Going strong!) We live 30 miles from the nearest store. This app has saved our bacon repeatedly. Any family member can add to the shopping, sizes, grocery, Christmas, etc list at any time. Any of us can see when something has been crossed of the list, even when you spilt up in the same store. It is great. You can make any kind of list you want, shopping, to do lists, whatever, and it updates within minutes.

I love that this works across both Android and iOS. Handy to be able to share a list among household members. However, the list magically adds things to itself and you never know if one of your household members added it or the list added something itself. I have had many strange things added to the list that didn't come from anybody in my house. and this has happened multiple times. I end up calling home to ask did you add such-and-such to the list because it's not something we would ever buy.
